The Coward and the Hero

She looked at the reflection of the devil she had become,the shame that flooded her was immense.


A surge of pride filled her, shedding light on various facets of her personality hidden within her.


Looking eye to eye was near impossible, embarrassed by herself, because of the mess that she had made.


She gazed upon herself satisfied by the person she had turned out to be.She wanted to sing,dance and make merry!!Suddenly she starts to cry and she does not know why.


She's worried, lost, wondering as to how to redeem herself? Was there a way? She looks at herself and was baffled as to why she was smiling!


Puzzled she reaches out to console herself only to find herself consoling a mirror.


Realization struck her that she is the coward and she is the hero too.

Its all about perspective.
Its who you are and who you want to be. 
The coward and the hero exists within us. Manifesting itself based on our thoughts and actions. Giving us the strength to face all the challenges thrown at us. Giving us the humility to enjoy the fruits of our success and above all keeping us aware that nothing is constant and circumstances can always change.

There was once a girl who used to sleep more than she used to be awake.Her companion was her pillow who knew her more than she knew herself. He was her diary of dreams and wishes.

He knew that every night she slept she wished upon a star for a fairy to come by and take her to her world of dreams. Or whenever the clock struck twelve she instantly wished she were Cinderella and her dream prince would lift her off her feet on a white horse.

At day she was an ordinary girl but at night she was a princess as she entered her world, a world of roses, where the skies were blue, the moon was huge and bright and everyone had castles in the air.Waving her wand and wishing everyone's miseries away.

At times she wondered,how would it to be to fly like a bird free in the skies or how would it be to have a time machine where she could travel to any period she wanted?How would it be to live under the sea like a mermaid or  to live in a land of chocolates?Spend her days chasing butterflies,blowing bubbles and chewing gum?

And yet she remained the girl who used to sleep more than she used to be awake. Her companion being her pillow who still knew her more than she knew herself.
